- 2017 COFFEEHOUSE CONCERT LINE-UP -

Our NEXT Coffeehouse Concert - JUNE 27TH - 7:00 PM

Featured Performance by
SALLY AND THE BIRMINGHAM BOYS

The June 27 HTMA coffeehouse will feature Sally Barris and the Birmingham Boys. Sally Barris an A-list Nashville songwriter who has had songs covered by such top-level artists as Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban. While her writing credits mightily impress, fans and peers are most captivated by her expressive mountain soprano and stellar musicianship. Sally Barris, often compared to Alison Krause and Claire Lynch, writes and sings songs that sound like they came from another time. Music Row Magazine says; “Her soulful folk soprano is equal parts mountain music and ethereal poet”. Dirty Linen says “Barris knows how to write lyrics that are as forthright as a stream of clear water and how to support them with melodies that share that quality”.

The Birmingham Boys are dobro player and guitarist Chas Williams and mandolin player Jason Bailey. The Minnesota native has performed Mountain Stage, New Bedford Summer Fest, Wildflower Arts & Music Festival and The Kerrville Folk Festival. For more info see www.sallybarris.com

HTMA Coffeehouse Concerts

return for 2017!

HTMA welcomes a new member to our Executive Board -
Karen Newsum will assume the role of PERFORMANCE CHAIR!

Welcome Karen, who is a talented singer/songwriter and will also lend her talents in the resumption of HTMA sponsored monthly coffeehouse concerts at the Old Church-Burritt on the Mountain.

New also for 2017 Coffeehouses are two changes:

1. We reserved the OLD CHURCH as a performance venue every 4th Tuesday of the Month - see the schedule dates in the Coffeehouse Lineups

2. We will charge a very nominal fee of $5.00 per person, with children 12 and under free. This will enable us to bring in quality performances and still make a night of entertainment affordable for our membership, their familes and guests.
