The band plays original acoustic music and Americana-style covers. You will hear brand new original music to be featured on an album scheduled for release in Summer 2026. Previously released albums include “Dakotah Landing”, “The Allen Watkins Band” and “Allen Watkins Anthology”. Anthology is featured on Blast Music, selected through the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library. The band is featured in the October 2025 Madison Living Magazine.
Allen Watkins is a three-time Alabama State Champion for finger-style guitar, and is also accomplished on banjo, mandolin and bass. He is a nationally acclaimed touring artist, with bands such as Claire Lynch, Lonesome River Band and Whetstone Run. He has recorded with bluegrass greats Mark Johnson and Tony Rice.
Connie Nicholas Watkins is a singer-songwriter, playing rhythm guitar and mandolin.
Joe Parker’s bass stylings add a jazz/blues touch to the AWB repertoire.
Garrett Smith has studied classical violin, and has performed with the Huntsville Symphony, and local celtic bands, Slipjig and Black Market Haggis.
